We’re shopping for faucets, toilets, etc. and most like some items from Kallista and Waterworks.

Is the quality of their products commensurate with their high prices?

Can anyone suggest the cheapest place to source their faucets and such?

Thanks

  1. Dear David,

My name is Maria Asker and I am responsible for product development at Waterworks. I find it very upsetting to hear that there is the perception that we do not design our own products and are simply marketers that inflate prices with no service. Waterworks designs, manufacturers, distributes and markets its’ products. We source from established manufacturers from all over the world that have the highest quality standards. We pride ourselves in the level of detail and consideration we bestow upon our products and our customer service is second to none. Historically, we’ve had warehouse sales in June but have not yet determined whether we will have one this year. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at masker@waterworks.com. Thank you!

  2. I’d avoid Waterworks — or do lots of looking around first, especially for sinks, toilets, etc. True, recent story: I ordered two pedestal sinks from Waterworks. I had been torn between the Waterworks sinks and very similar-looking ones from another decent manufacturer that were about half the price. (It might have been Porcher, though I can’t recall now — let’s just say it was Porcher.) I went with Waterworks because my nerves were frayed with the renovation by this point and I just wanted something that would be great-looking without my having to worry about it. Well, the sinks came, and they were the Porcher sinks, in Porcher boxes, in Waterworks shipping boxes. I kid you not. Oh, and one of them had “Waterworks” stamped on the side. Lots of value added for the 2x the price.

  3. waterworks and renovation hardware are marketers, not manufacturers.incredibly inflated prices and no service to back up their crappy prices…they play into the game of “if it costs more, it must be better”..look at their displays for ideas and then contact the suppliers like central plumbing supply on bond in nyc, f and m plumbing in brooklyn

  4. Assuming you are ready for immediate purchase, my tip won’t be of much help. However, keep in mind that Waterworks has an annual warehouse sale every June at the Danbury Fair Mall. It’s the cheapest place I know to get bona fide Waterworks products and we always come home with something because they dump all kind of stuff at the warehouse sale — from tubs to tiles to towels. This year’s fair is scheduled for June 28.

  5. If you havn’t seen Strom/Sign of the Crab yet, you might like that too. We have two of their bathroom faucets. The quality is phenomenal, and they’re more affordable than the brands you mention. They are made in the USA.
