I’m researching gas hot water heaters. Any plumbers have opinions on the AOSmith Hyrbid vs Effex vs Vertex vs Conservationist vs Pro-Max? We have forced air heat so this will be a stand alone unit.

The AO Smith Hybrids haven’t been out that long to really make an honest opinion. Conservationist & Pro-Max are AO Smith’s tried & true every day standard popular water heaters. I recently sold a Hybrid to one of my customers and he’s happy with it. Although it is for his shore home so he hasn’t used it too much. Look into Heat Transfer Products water heaters. They’re pricey but very good units and very high efficiant. Also Lochinvar has some really nice units to offer.
