Hi Anna. Most contractors can do a great job. The problems come when they don’t follow a plan. There are soundproofing solutions tha work and those that are more based on either myth or old technology. These days some contractors simply show up with the most expensive specialty “quiet” drywall available which is often not even deployed in the most efficient manner.
On the other hand there are plenty of contractors that are open to learn about the more effective techniques.

There’s different ways of soundproofing such as metal studs with rubber around the screws to prevent noise, sound proof board, glue, etc… If you’d like to know more information and get a free estimate I would be happy to discuss it with you by e-mail or phone.
