Hi, I need recommendations for plumbers willing to do small jobs. I have a clogged kitchen sink that likely needs to be snaked (Draino did nothing for it).

I need someone who could hopefully come soon, too. Any recommendations?

Also any idea how much something like this costs? Thank you!

  1. I’ve used Paul the plumber a bunch of times – he’s a local Park Slope guy who works with his dad. Great solid guys who do a great job at a more than fair price – 917 968 4304. If you call, pls let him know Jesse from 3rd street recommended him.

  2. we have used stanley lewis for small jobs like this in the slope and he charges nowhere near this much money and does a great job.

my mom even used him after years with vigilante, he cleared a deep clog in her kitchen sink that vigilante had told her “was just the noise the drain would make”

  3. Call a company that specializes in drains or a regular plumber — they will have a drain specialist. Ours charges $180 per visit to clean out a clog. The name is Nu-Lite of Maspeth. You can also do it yourself, but if you have old lead pipes I would call a specialist. If they put a whole through your system, they are responsible to fix it.

Allen S’s suggestion above sounds good.

  4. I called a regular plumber for a similar job and he wanted to charge me $300. Someone on this site recommended I use…

It’s no joke. Price was $50, I prepaid when I called, they came and did the job. They are now on my phone speed dial.
