Hi there,
An inspector has told us that we, like most buildings, need to post a sign regarding CO in a common area. In the code I found what it is supposed to say, and that it must be on plastic or metal. Can I buy one of these somewhere or do I have to have this custom made?
Thanks in advance!
In the south slope on 17th and 7th Avenue… The corner hardware store by PS10 has them.
I haven’t found these signs available at many hardware stores, and never at HD or Lowes. But once you purchase, no need to update, so that might have changed. Leopoldi’s tends to stock them; Tarzian doesn’t. The two hardware stores on Court St. near Livingston and Schermerhorn (around the corner from DOB), definitely stock the full range of HPD-required notices.
Just FYI, this is the time of year that LLs of buildings with 3 or more apartments are also required to distribute Lead Poisoning/Window Guard forms. See: http://bit.ly/aNKYLX and http://bit.ly/dIe9cU
Yeah, HD & Lowe’s have them.
Check your local neighborhood hardware stores. They should have all the various signs.
