Brown Water Issue
When we fill up our bathtub, after about 2 minutes of running the water we get a burst of brown water before it returns to being clear water again. It seems this issue only occurs when running the hot water. The cold water is always clear. Is this a boiler issue? A pipe corrosion issue?

Yes, whole house filters are a good idea. I like it so much that I had one installed before I
moved in. The filter’s are not cheap, and (mine at least) gets changed fairly often. We do, however, say– Come on in, the water’s fine!
I think it’s a government conspiracy — most mind control drugs pumped into the water. That’s why you’ve been hearing about “parent groups” (read = agent provocateurs) wanting to take the fluoride out of the water. The TRUTH is that the fluoride is reacting with the mind control drugs and turning brown.
Aussie, how is the hot water made for the building? Water heater, tankless coil in a boiler, indirect storage tank, etc.?
It’s probably rust in your hot water tank. You can try flushing it – there are usually instructions on the side of the tank. It may be that your tank is on its last legs though – how old is it? They’re normally guaranteed for 10 years & often die immediately after that. (It’s a good idea to put a whole house water filter in before water gets to any appliance. They’re not terribly expensive & save a lot of wear & tear.)
