Radiator Threads Cut
Hello everyone. I have some steam radiator threads that I feared were cut and they are. Can they be fixed or should I start looking to buy new radiators? Thanks.

To elaborate on emans suggestion. Get some Xpando & lamp wick.
WOW…Thanks for your help.
I was getting happy when you guys made those suggestions until I inspected the radiator closer. Turns our the gap is pretty big on the bottom threads and it turns out the @#!$%! cut it on all four sides. Man, what a waste of a radiator.
I hope the rest of the radiators are salvageable. Fingers crossed.
Please send more suggestions if you have any.
Thanks.
you sure? could be like mines some of them with time has crap settling etc… for that problem get a tap, i forget the size :/.
i assume that you mean that the threads were cut when you sawzalled out a nipple or spud..provided that the cut is not too deep, and at the top of the threading, pipe dope and lampwick on the threads of the new nipple or spud should take care of it
Overzealous sawzall application during nipple removal? If the blade hasn’t passed completely through you should be able to smear pipe thread compound or teflon to seal.
