We own a 3 family house that we would like to continue living in. We spent money to gut renovate the bottom duplex and have tenants on the two top floors. We would rather not be landlords. Rather than leave the apartments empty or spend money to expand our space we wanted to see what it would involve to sell half of our house. We are in Boerum Hill Brooklyn.
mortgage financing on small condo bldgs like this is pretty hard right now so it makes sense to pulse-chk with some banks and/or mortgage brokers on how is the financing availability now. else you might end up doing owner-financing
