Over the past 3 years 4 Requests for Evaluation for landmark designation has been submitted to the LPC.
Early this year the Landmark Preservation Commission commenced a study of Bedford Stuyvesant to determine which areas may be eligible for landmark designation.

LPC plans to hold a community meeting in the near future with property owners in the eligible areas to discuss possible landmark designation. According to LPC any landmark designation in Bedford Stuyvesant would be done in a phased approached similar to Crown Heights.
