How much to replace a breaker panel?
Curious as to the group’s views on the below … We are looking to replace the (old, crowded) breaker panel in our co-op. The new panel would be larger (24 or 30 position). The breaker panel is currently set into a drywall wall. At the same time, I want to put in a 220V/30A socket…

At the same time, I want to put in a 220V/30A socket for a washer-dryer to be installed this fall. The run to the W-D is maybe four feet, and there is an existing 120V socket there already.
What would be a reasonable quote for a licensed electrician for something like this?
I’ve received quotes in the $1800-2200 range, but those seem a bit rich.
Thoughts?
Thanks

Based on what exactly? Those sound about right to me. This is an all day job that will require permitting. You do not want the lowest bidder wiring your panel.
you also can consider adding a subpanel
