I am writing to recommend the duo that saved our lives during a recent renovation. House By We (http://www.housebywe.com/)
is a husband-wife team that helped us with everything from the big decisions like design, our selection of a contractor, dealing with our architect and the DOB for permits, overseeing construction to the smaller details like which appliances to pick, where to buy our countertops and moldings, paint colors, and even what furniture will maximize the use of our space. They relieved about 98% of the stress of going through a renovation, kept our contractor on schedule as much as possible, helped us choose options that worked with both our budget and aesthetic, and noticed every small detail that we just didn’t have the time or energy or knowledge to address. I cannot recommend them more highly. And they are LOVELY to work with. We are very happy with how everything turned out and would hire them again in an instant if the opportunity ever arose. Its true that I have not posted here before (actually i did once before but i forgot that username). Wow – you guys are skeptics! I am a real person and really did renovate my apartment with the help of Ari and Erin from House by We. They are fantastic and i repeat my recommendation. I would find it very difficult to trust a consultant who thinks it is okay to misrepresent themselves on a forum like this. They are selling their judgment after all.
whenever i see a post like this gushing over some contractor or consultant, i just *know* when i click on the username i’ll see this is the first-ever post by that user.
What did they do that an architect didn’t? And what did they take in terms of pay?
