Cornice Repair
I need someone to fix the part above the cornice. I’m not sure what the proper name is. I’m afraid with the coming winter it will finally fall down. I also see a lot of squirrels hanging around lately. Is this job too small for a roofer? I’m not ready to do a roof job…
I need someone to fix the part above the cornice. I’m not sure what the proper name is. I’m afraid with the coming winter it will finally fall down. I also see a lot of squirrels hanging around lately. Is this job too small for a roofer? I’m not ready to do a roof job yet. And, I cannot get up there and nail it back myself even if that is all it takes. Recommendations are greatly appreciated.

i had done my cornice repair by M.H General contracting inc, three and half years ago, still looks new. also i used them three weeks ago for some interior renovation and some woods work, there quality of work same like before, excellent people excellent work, i”m very happy with there work. you may give them a call at 718-633-2700.
good luck.
odds are that if you think you have a squirel problem, you have one. These guys are a lot like bedbugs except that the eat your house. You can buy traps and what you do with the squirrels, I do not know or you can hire an exterminator who takes them far away and frees them from the traps and you from your wallet. Now it is time to call the roofer and the odds are that they have knawed at the sub framing of your cornice and roof only enough to cause the roofer to propose some work that you probably don’t need but might need very badly. At some point, you will wish you still had those squirrels and a good recipe. They can cause a lot of hidden damage and need to be addressed.
