Condenser Dryer Recommendations?
I own an apartment with a very large kitchen. I want to install a washer/dryer, but can’t vent the dryer easily. Can anyone recommend a good condenser dryer? Ideally, I would save space with a 2 in one unit, but I don’t know if they work as well. Does anyone have any research/experience to share?…

Thanks.
We have owned both the LG and the Bosch Axis W/D at different times. If you have the $$ and the space, I highly recommend you get something like the Bosch machines. The LG works, but it takes a long time and it’s drying capacity is quite low. If you are single, this is maybe not a problem, but if you have children, it can be challenging. You will be perpetually doing laundry.
Also, I believe there are more brand choices in condenser dryers now so do a little research.
I have the LG single unit. It works just fine. I’m not 100% satisfied because it does take a while to dry but it’s the only choice I have. I can’t use a traditional dryer in my building so it’s a good as it gets.
Try not to overload it and make sure to use fabric softener so keeps the wrinkles away.
We have a Bosch Axxis front loading washing machine and a Bosch Axxis Condensation Dryer that stacks on top of the washer. We’ve had it for 18 months and it works find. Beats the hell out of a Laundromat.
We’ve got the LG single-unit appliance on our purchase list, if anyone has one, I’d love to hear thoughts on it:

if you think you’ll be in the apartment for long, might be worth looking into getting it vented even if it’s not easy…
I haven’t used a condenser dryer, but we used a regular dryer vented into a bucket and hated that. The closet where the dryer was filled with steamy, linty air, and reaching the bucket was a pain. Eventually we just vented (down into the floor, under the kitchen and then out the back wall) and life was so much better after that.
Over time the cost might average out, I think the condenser models cost more to run.
Ied o own a Miele condenser in australia, owned t for 8 years with zero breakdowns before i moved/sold.
I also couldn’t vent to the outdoors and got a Bosch stackable HE washer/condensation dryer and have been very happy with both. The condensation dryer takes longer than one that’s vented but I feel like my clothes have less wear and tear on them. The only drawback is that the dryer generates a lot of heat. In the winter I have to stagger loads so it doesn’t affect the thermostat too much (which is in the next room) and in the summer… well you get the idea. It’s not all that bad, though the heat it generates vs the location is definitely something to consider.
