Can anyone recommend a contractor to help with the following: Our front windows once had iron bars that were sawed off, and the remaining ends are combining with the elements to crack and break the terra cotta. We have already had a small chunk fall off. I had Apple waterproofing bid on the job but it seems absurdly high ($6100 with at least $2000 in poorly hidden additional costs). This is a small job and seems doable in a day by the right person.
Thanks,

  1. I just wander what would Apple do with it?

I though you cut of the metal ends with grinder within 30 minutes and paint it over within 3 hours. Grinder from Harbor freight cost $14.99.

  2. I just reread the post and it sounds harsher than I intended. Apple’s quote was very professional and I’m sure the way it was priced is pretty standard. I’d just like to get a number of bids.
