Recommendation of Vent for Washer and Dryer
There is a problem for vent in the basement of my house. Plumber recommend to use bucket instead of vent. Can you recommend vent specialist or ac/refrigerator person to give me solution? Anyone who had same problem of vent-out? I believe there is always solution, but I don’t see,, Thank you.

You could just buy a ventless dryer that does not work that well or bite the bullet. There are nice looking vents out there. Check out: http://www.seiho.com/product/index6.html
You could also buy a european washer that has a super spin cycle, the wash comes out pretty dry. Just hang up and let it dry.
My problem is no way to vent air out from laundry room. My laundry room is in the back of house that is close to back of the house. If vent out to back of the house,it need to break old original wall thru living room to vent air out. Look terrible and costs $$$$$$.
To the front of the house, probably 30-35 feet away to vent out to front of the house, but I don’t want to make a hole on more than 100 years old original limestone wall.
And wall needs to be open as well. Just installing washer and dryer, so many problems are involved,,,
not sure exactly what your vent problem is, but I had a crappy vent hood put in by my GC that was always getting stuck open and letting tons of cold air into the house. I replaced with a copper one I bought online, which works great and as long as no junkies find their way into my backyard, should last decades.
we had a bucket vent, I don’t recommend. You probably need to ask another plumber about your specific arrangement.
