As far as I can tell, 1 Sterling is a residential lot that has never been built on.
Anyone know what circumstances might have led to such an odd address for this lot? Google seems to know where it is just fine.
I’m not depending on Google, but rather what address is associated with the BBL and shown on the title to the property. Google just happens to agree.
I don’t believe the lot was ever built on. I’m guessing there’s some history here, so I’m curious what it is.
Official address designation are given by the Boro President’s office Topographic division. An official verification can always be obtained by the owner with a fee usually at 100.00 per address. I f you are concerned about it ex. mail delivary etc., their address is 209 Joralemon Street 3rd floor room no. 340. At least now you know what Marty is doing when there is no concert.
I would not depend on Google as the accurate source of information for street addresses. To me, 1 Sterling Place being near the Franklin Ave shuttle is incorrect. I would refer to the Department of City Planning which has records of the official street addresses for nyc property.
