I’m looking for any recommendations for great appliances in small scale for a narrow kitchen. In particular, we’ll need a refrigerator and wall oven (hopefully oven & microwave stack) in 24-27″ widths and counter depth (24″)

Blomberg 15 cubic ft refrigerator looks good. The oven options seem limited at 24″, with more at 27″, but the smaller the better for our narrow kitchen and family of two.

  1. I actually specialize in kitchen appliances. I do all size jobs. My prices tend to be the cheapest out there and my personal service is unparalleled to that of a retail store. Please contact me when you are ready to tackle the kitchen. I have many referrals available. I sell all name brand appliances at wholesale prices.

  2. I saw the BEST small kitchen. It had very deep white marble(?) counters, a countertop convection/microwave oven, and a narrow but roomy Northland refrigerator. Cabinets to the ceiling. There was a small dishwasher which I think you could even do without. It was the most perfect kitchen I’ve ever seen, and turned out to belong to a great designer (Joan Snyder??) and to have won many awards…

  3. I just went to PC Richard and bought the least offensive looking things I could find. There wasn’t much.

Got a GE fridge, which actually I think is really attractive. Unfortunately, the fan is loud.

Stove irrelevant to you, since it’s electric. They had a really cute small gas stove though. From that Italian firm that makes the vintage looking ones. I’m terrible with names.

  4. We have an LG bottom freezer, and I really like it. We also got a compact, 22 or 24-inch (can’t remember) over-the-stove microwave both were bought at PC Richards (I’m not specifically endorsing the store–far from it–but just wanted you to know about local purchase options.

The microwave was designed to be used in RVs, with gave my husband and me a good chuckle.

compactappliances.com is a so-so website for this type of thing. The other thing I’ve done in the past is talked to salespeople at appliance stores. Many times, they don’t have the smaller stuff out on the floor, but they know that it’s the catalogues and can be ordered.

I think that Viking makes a small wall oven.

  5. Summit also has a nice stainless narrow fridge.

We have the fisher paykel 24″ oven/range – highly recommend. There are less expensive options but none that look quite as good.
