Are Complaints About Brokers Effective?
Has anyone had experience either filing a complaint against a broker (or receiving one?) with REBNY and the NYS licensing board? What is the outcome? What might one expect as the outcome?

It depends on what the complaint is about.
Missed the beginning part of the comment: send certified letters to the CEO, brokerage manager, broker, etc. letting know your grievance and the resolution you are requesting. let them know you will be filing a complaint. At least you’ll feel better for having done something somewhat productive.
..sorry hit enter. I think the real estate industry’s regulation and definition of “ethics” differ vastly from industries that actually take their ethics policies seriously. However, if you do this you yourself might feel better. And if you move forward you have given fair warning.
I think most people post a negative online review of the broker and leave it at that. Maybe your experience was pretty bad and you should file a complaint. I doubt much happens from it though
Wow. The silence is deafening! Does this mean that Brooklyn has no unethical or unprofessional brokers??
