Window Bar/ AC box welder needed
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced metalworker to fabricate a set of window bars with a boxed-out section that will fit an air conditioner? My garden-level rear bedroom has straight bars, making it impossible to put a window AC unit in. Anyone dealt with this? Thanks!

Tony at A&J Ironworks. 917-731-6976. Just used him to replace an existing set of bars and the price was right.
The easy way is to create a bracket to support it from the inside. Make a frame to sit the unit in window frame and just but the end against the bars. Just make sure the drain for the a/c is going to be outside the frame…
