It is a crap shoot- but when there are sinks- it is great. When we renovated our house by hand, we got a brand new Kohler kitchen sink with hardware for 80 bucks…
We got a $50 cast iron double sink from Green Demolitions. I highly recommend taking a look–it’s an investment of time, because you really need to go there and see what they have in stock at the moment.
For faucets, I have had a very good experience dealing with Park Slope Plumbing Supply. Got two bathroom faucets and a tub drain through them. If you know roughly what you want, they can show you what’s available and get you decent prices. Talk to Mark.
Agree with guywithahouse, ebay route provides best pricing. I bought my kitchen faucet from a guy that operated out of a sunset park warehouse, was able to inspect and pick up in person.
Go to any showroom, find the make and model you want–then buy it on EBAY.
I got a brand new Shaw’s farmhouse sink for about 30% off–even with the shipping. I also got a super high-end faucet (also brand-new) for more than 50% off.
Obviously be careful who you buy from, but many of the fixture sellers on Ebay (including the two I purchased from) are well established distributors simply ditching stock.

A great place and a great idea.
I highly recommend going with an extra deep enameled cast iron sink. Stainless steel may match the appliances but is hell to keep looking good.

home and stone in brooklyn. they also have an extensive website.
I had my heart set on a farmhouse sink. Rather than spend $1000 on one, we got the double version from Ikea for $199. It has been great.
Overstock.com especially if you already have an idea of what you want
