I’m renovating my bathroom and hope to replace the shower curtain over my tub with a glass shower screen, like in the picture.

However, the tub is only 5’6″ long as is bounded on 3 sides. If the shower screen is 3′ long, then (1) would it provide enough protection from splashing and (2) is 2’6″ enough room to get into the tub?

Would love to hear from anyone who has one of these things. The other option is to totally enclose the tub with glass and have a door, which I would prefer not to do.

  2. I have the 40″ version of this shower door installed. Linea Zambi. It’s in the kids’ bathroom. No water. No issues. 3+ years. I had the guys doing the custom glass enclosure in our master bath install the door.

Adjust the water temp for the tub spout, then switch to shower mode when you’re in the tub. Door swings in to get it.

  3. Love the look, but doesn’t the glass panel swing out to allow entrance? I’ve seen one in England which works that way and makes it easy to get in and out of the tub and to adjust the water (and to take a bath without feeling like you’re in an aquarium).

    depends. how wide are you?

I don’t believe these work at all, especially if you have kids. Even with a full shower curtain, there are traces of water beside my tub (or pools when my son showers). Also how do you reach in to set the water temp before you enter the shower?
