Anyone have any experience/reviews about the Fisher & Paykel refrigerator? The model with one door and bottom freezer.

Comments

  1. Have the curved front model, for 2 years. It was the largest capacity (other than a Liebherr…)fridge that would fit through our narrow 28″ wide dining room door. It’s not perfect, however: the door doesn’t hang perfectly (I suspect the box is slightly off kilter) square, the fan is a bit noisy and we do have to keep it on a lower setting than I’d like.

The pluses are that it looks great and uses space very efficiently.

I believe F&P is owned by one of the big American companies now, but I could be wrong.

  2. I have the same fridge…not crazy about it. I have to keep the temperature set all the way down to the minimum in the fridge just to keep things somewhat cool. I have had the thing for two years, so it shouldn’t need any service.

  3. We admired our friend’s flat one, and bought the curved. Both of them are doing fine years (3-4) later. No complaints at all, love this fridge.

  4. Have one and would probably not go out of my way to buy another. The alarm is nice when the door stays open too long, but otherwise i actually like the GE better. The freezer on the F&P has a couple very thin drawers that are extremely unpractical (wasted space). In the fridge I never feel like i can fit larger things in comfortably.

  5. We have the curved front Fridge and the double dish drawers both in stainless and love both of them. They have been extremely reliable.
Our Dish Drawers have only had one small issue and the part was very easy to order from Fisher Paykel and I replaced it myself.
Otherwise 3 years of flawless operation.
I would buy them again in a new house.

  6. This is a great fridge! We got the flat front stainless steel model last Fall and it looks great. The curved front model seems to have a “retro” feel to it, while the flat front looks a little cleaner. Every time I load it up after a food run, I am so glad I don’t have to hunch over anymore to put things away. We had a crappy experience at Airs Appliance in center city – beware.
