For some reason, it only occurred to me this weekend that from the inside, perhaps my metal window frames (aluminum, I suppose) would look better if they were white rather than black (the wall and shutters surrounding my windows are white. Has anyone painted their window frames in this way? That I’m asking at all is because of a nagging feeling that black is actually less “visible” than white. Or, perhaps the outside frame should be white, and I should leave the horizonal elements of the windows black?

  1. Whatever color you decide make sure you use Bin, shellac based primer, first. This will prepare the surface and allow the paint to adhere.
