Tree Stump Removal
We have this huge tree stump at our backyard that the previous owner did not completely remove. We want to put up a new fence and do some gardening so we need it remove. Anyone have any recommendation? and how much a job like this would cost?

We just had a good experience with Urban Arborists as well — removing trees and grinding the stumps. They used a stump grinder that they brought in through the basement.
get bunch of termites – they will eat it in no time.
Have you tried digging a little around the stump? I remember about 15 years ago taking a pick to a stump, the first swing and the stump went flying – everything below ground level had rotted. Not saying that will be the case here (the stump I was dealing with was considerably smaller, but I would try and work out if there is anything of substance below the surface.

juckets up in new england would tie a chain around the stump, the tow hitch, and then just gun it. (Don’t ask me how I know this!)
