Looking for a recommendation for a home inspector…someone to walk through a brownstone (potential purchase) to make sure we aren’t buying a home that turns our to have lots of problems.

Thanks!

  1. be wary of Hal Einhorn at Old House Inspection. He missed a number of important items including leaking plumbing and exposed, live wire in our utility closet. We recently lost power because of the latter but it could have obviously been much worse. He also needed me to point out that the dryer was not working. He seemed to be going through the motions in what felt like a very brief 45 minutes inspection. I was unimpressed with the level of detail in his final four page report.

  2. I agree with Jock. I used John twice and he was fantastic in less than ideal situations. Answered all questions with ease and intelligence. He knows what he is doing. Reports are very thorough and he gets them back to you quick! I would use him again. But I hope that I dont have to 🙂

  4. Give John Gromkoski a call. 718-514-3393. Good guy and he knows what he is talking about and looking at. Two great qualities in an inspector.
