Hi all-
Now that our furnace is rarely on, we suddenly have no hot water, unless we jack up the thermostat to get the boiler on. Would rather not call the original plumber (new gas boiler & indirect hot water heater a year ago) but get someone to look at the whole setup, ancient thermostat, etc., as I’d like to make it as efficient as possible. Any plumber suggestions? Any and ll ideas – many thanks.

And why is there an ‘ancient thermostat’ on a set-up like this?
Not to dissuade you from taking eman up on his generous offer, but when I see posts like this, I have to scratch my head….You said you’ve got a new gas boiler and indirect water heater that are a year old….why isn’t the installer taking care of this problem?
When I install something I give a one year all-inclusive warranty, that i have no problem extending at no charge if there’s a problem directly attributed to the installation.
But that’s just me.
sounds like the thermostat from the indirect hot water tank is wired incorrectly, or the pump for the indirect zone is shot..drop me an email at errol832000@yahoo.com for a free consultation
