Front Steps Refinishing Estimate
Hey All, We’re looking for someone to fully refinish our cement front stoop, which consists of six steps, with 3 foot cement sides (no iron railings). We’ve had two quotes so far: $6500 and $6700, both by contractors recommended on this site. Do these quotes sound reasonable? We’d really like some input before we accept…

Thanks for your time!
Hi. I need to get my steps done. How did your turn out? Can you make a recommendation? Thanks.
Tinted Cement. We used regular cement with paint and it only lasted a few years. One of the guys who looked at the job said putting salt on painted steps in the winter will cause the paint to bubble and peel–just what happened to us.
The tinted cement has a much longer life and is not affected by salt. A good job is supposed to last 15 to 20 years.
I may be doing this too; out of curiosity, are you refinishing them with tinted cement or regular cement + paint/ epoxy?
Sounds about right.
