Sid's Hardware on Jay Street
I just noticed this afternoon that it is closed; the lights were on, but the shelves were totally bare. When did this happen, anyone know?

Sad to see Sid’s close move away. Its equipment was comprehensive and staffed with expert and friendly advice, despite the bogus comment earlier. I’ll still get there for expert advice, but less often as it’ll be less convenient.
Good riddance! The checkout cashiers are rude, the rude fat-as$ that makes keys hates customers and all their lumber products are overpriced by 50%-100% compared to Lowes and Homedepot.
The only “nice” and “helpful” employees were the guys standing around to help you with finding particular items. The rest are lazy as$hats.
“Family owned” – is code for rude employees who don’t give a rats as$. Hopefully, they will go under, I’m sure of it.
Moving to Hamilton Ave and 14th Street, and refocusing on the contractor business.
