Good Chinese in Carroll Gardens?
I realize this may be a bit off topic, but can anyone recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Carroll Gardens? We moved to the neighborhood in the fall and have tried a few places only to be disappointed every time. If anyone could point us towards a good one we would be very grateful!

There just isn’t any in the neighborhood. Chinese food is dire in the area, but luckily there are plenty of other great choices.
What happened to the nice woman from Peking 2? Are they closed for good?
We tried Hunan Delight tonight and it was really good, especially the vegetarian general tso’s “chicken”. Thanks for all the recommendations, we had no idea places in Park Slope would deliver to us in CG!
also, yelp is very good for reviews.
Mr. Wonton from Park Slope delivers to CG.
That’s what we get if I don’t dive up to Lichee Nut in Brooklyn Heights for take out.
we are in the same boat…we like andy’s and fortune house in brooklyn heights but they don’t deliver this far south. So we usually settle for hunan delight from the slope, which delivers to CG
Would this help?

the only china i can even think of in CH/CG is of the bulletproof glass, takeout variety.
When I was a kid Brooklyn neighborhood dining experience was usually based on Chinese restaurants, kosher delis, appetizing stores (smoked fish, i.e.lox, chubs, sable, sturgeon, etc.), Italian red sauce restaurants (pizzerias), and the Greek diners. Things have changed over the years with the virtual extinction of the neighborhood kosher deli and appetizing stores, and the seeming decline in the interest neighbor Chinese restaurants and takeout joints. For me, the Chinese food decline is interesting. I don’t know whether its caused by the decline in the general taste of the food, or by the increased competition on provided by many other food choices?
