We read about your facade work last year and have been talking to Millad about doing some work on our facade. The price is great and he’s shown us some pretty good work that he’s done in the neighborhood. Just wanted to see if you;re still happy with the work he did for you and whether you’ve had any problems or issues since he wrapped up the job.

I did not need any cornice repair work either, just painting. I believe he has done cornice repair in the neighborhood.

Thanks to both of you for your feedback. I really like the fact that these guys are willing to come back and look at work after it’s completed. I think that’s pretty rare with facade people.
Funny. I assumed I was dealing with Millad and I’ve been calling him Millad for a week but it turns out that I’ve been talking to Mohammed.
Dave, he did show us your place. I think it looks great. I wish our facade was in good enough shape to leave like that but it looks like it will need extensive repairs that will need to get painted over. Not the best solution but better than a $30,000 rebrownstone.

I have not had any issues with the work that he did.
As you probably know if you’ve seen my house, we decided to preserve as much of the original stone on the flat surface of the facade (all the lintels and sills needed to be redone) as possible and because of that it looks spotty. The same type of work was done on the New York Palace Hotel on Madison Avenue (though not by Millad!!) and it too has the same old/new look of differently juxtaposed brownstone colors. That probably wouldn’t sell with a $4MM house in BH but when I resell mine for $1MM some day it’ll be fine.
I have a small mortared grout line in a corner that has shown some chipping over the winter. I am going to have him look at that.
I think you have been dealing with his brothers. Millad is not even in the country as I am waiting for him to start on the gut reno of the garden floor. We have had our stoop and both facades done by him and we have not had any issues. Our facades are brick – front was stripped and the rear bricks were sealed and covered by Thorocoat(sp?). They are great about following up and if there is ever an issue, they always take care of it.
