Floor joists are intact but fallen. Sagging due to:
1. Lack of support
2. Joists do not run width of house around stairs
Some rot from water damage around 1st floor bathroom. Looking to dig down a few feet, pour concrete footings for supports.
Our man Irving has tons of experience with this kind of thing. His number is 718-678-4986. He is fast, neat, reliable, precise, and very reasonable. But he is not an engineer. Not sure, but you might want to get an engineer or architect to look at this first. He often works with Denis at Guerrero’s Inc. on Wyckoff. Denis is an architect. Or if you’ve already had an engineer tell you what to do, Irving would be great at carrying out the work.

We have done this work in old buildings, Much depends on the basement floor, in that steel that is unsupported by substantial footings does little good.
Is the main beam (we’ll assume wooden) intact but fallen, or damged by water/termites etc?
