Movers for Walk Ups

Hi, I am moving out of a one bed. walk up 500sq foot (4th floor) into a walk up (forth floor). Must be a glutton for punishment.. Any suggestions for movers. We don’t have too much that is valuable, a lot of books… staying in the neighborhood (cobble hill to carrol gardens). I haven’t decided…

Any suggestions for movers. We don’t have too much that is valuable, a lot of books… staying in the neighborhood (cobble hill to carrol gardens).

I haven’t decided yet if I will pack it up myself or pay someone. I might partial pack if that is possible (eg all books I can pack and the kitchen)

  2. I just moved and used Rabbitmovers.com. I moved from a 3rd fl walkup to a 1st floor apt so my move wasn’t as bad as what you may have.

    I didn’t have too much stuff to move. I got a new bed and couch for my new place so they were already there. But Rabbit Movers were great. They charged $140 an hr for 3 movers, with a minimum charge of 2 hours plus a $70 transportation fee. My boxes were heavy but they got it done pretty quickly and were nice guys.

    I’m not sure how they compare to other places price wise but going by how easy the move was I would definitely use them again!
