We have a couple pieces of furniture that need some moderate repair – redoweling and gluing, fixing casters that have broken off, reupholstering. Anyone know of places to take care of such things locally?

  1. Hi – If it is very nice quality furniture, I recommend Eli Rios. Eli is a specialist who restores museum quality antique furniture. He charges fair prices for such work and does a terrific job. He has worked on a number of restoration jobs for me and I can’t speak highly enough of the results.

  2. Do a “furniture repair” search under “Topics” and you’ll find quite a few entries — for Kevin Taylor, Mr. Wood, Omar, and several others. I can’t vouch for any of them, maybe others can. If you use one and like him, let us know.
