I am trying to find a Benjamin Moore white with a touch of rose in it. Just a touch! Any suggestions? Applesauce is a touch of orange, Pink Peony is too pink, Apricot ice is too yellow – It seems really hard. I thought to ask them to make the Pink Peony %50 whiter but the store I want to use say that is not a good idea and usually does not work out.

  1. Antique White may be exactly what you’re looking for. It looks quite pink in my north-facing room. It’s pinker than Farrow & Ball’s “Dimity” which I was trying to match.

  2. Friends of mine have moved all over due to husband’s career and the wife recreates some sense of continuity with her furniture and paintings etc and Benjamin Moore Magnolia white, which is white with a pinkish cast. It is pretty – not pink or rose but white but casts warm pinkish/rose shadows.

  3. Farrow & Ball makes a beautiful slightly blushy white called “Tallow”– if you grab a color swatch from their store (in soho or you can get a color card online), you could have the paint store match it with a BM color.

  4. OC-65 AKA – chantilly lace. It is a popular color for cabinetry and we spray it often (but made up as a conversion varnish), so I know the formula. It is pure white with 1 drop OY (yellow) and 1/2 drop QV (indigo)- the result is a slightly warm white. I would not call it a pink, but it is not a cool colour.

  5. I have a 1/2 gallon or more of leftover Benjamin Moore 2105-60 ‘acapulco sand’ and the same of OC-16 cedar key you can have if you want to experiment yourself. The Acapulco is a soft pale rose with a dusky hue. Cedar Key is a greyish dusky color with a faint pink to it. If you would like it, email me at snyderavenue at gmail dot com. good luck!
