treatment for parlor window??
We don’t have much detail left in our house, but we do have intact window moldings on our parlor floor. what window treatment do you think looks nicest on these super tall windows? Shutters are not an option; since there is a pretty big draft, we’re thinking roman shades or up/down cell shades.

we did those top down pleated shades…so at least you get lots of light from the top half without the world seeing in on the lower half…and the flexibility to go vice versa is good too. they’re not the most sturdy things in the world (i just ordered replacements for my 4 year old shades) since they basically hand by the string toward the top when they’re ‘top down’.
i think after we renovate i may do some kind of modified ‘cafe’ curtain/drape type thing…where the curtain
rod is at the mid point in the window and the curtains/drapes fall midway down.
