Thanks for the recommendation, Adam. I really love my table. I may ask him to do another for our garden.
Don’t remember now what he charged as the estimate changed several times as we talked about just the base, base plus top, and then the reclaimed wood ended up being more expensive than he’d thought. But it was reasonable I thought–less than what you’d pay in a store, and this was custom.
Denton I know an NYC Union iron worker who builds our bridges by day and then most delicate gold jewelry in his spare time. The contrast is remarkable.

I referred him. He is a friend of mine from college and VERY talented. He works out of the Clinton Hill area. Great to see the final product, he was talking to me about it a few weeks ago. He going to make something similar for me.
