Basement Clean Out
Can anyone recommend a company to come in and remove junk from my basement. I will have them pass the garbage out through the front hatch, but still want to know they are clean and responsible. Any recos would be much appreciated.

We used Joe Martin (718-675-9479) when we closed on our place. He was recommended on the forum and was able to come look at the work the same day and clear it out a few days later. His prices were reasonable and the two guys who came worked really hard and quickly. They were “two guys and a big van” which also meant they were basically able to double park for the two hours it took them to clear out the space.

I used my handyman-contractor, Irving, and his crew. I arranged for the dumpster myself separately. He can also arrange hauling if you don’t have enough for a dumpster. He is extremely neat and responsible, and so are his men. I laid down cardboard and mats, though, since they were coming through the hall and it was wet out from snow. They’re in the Bushwick/Bed Stuy area. Do you want the number? He charged me $400 for three guys and it took them more than three hours if I remember correctly. The dumpster was 24 feet long or something like that.
