Hello,

One of my radiators started making an awful racket last evening clanging and what not. When I checked it, a small amount of water had leaked from one side. I immediately shut off the valve and it shut up and stopped leaking.

I live in Park Slope and need someone to come check it out and make whatever repairs are needed. Any recommendations?

  1. It won’t do anything to cure your radiator, but a classic radio piece from the
mid-90s by David Isay and Ben Katchor: “Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer – The Radiator Musician” (#12 on link). Turn your computer volume up and the sound down on other distractions: http://bit.ly/5bbhPa

  2. It is probably the vent on the side (Either bullet shaped or round). Sometimes these get a little dirty and clog open. You can buy these at the hardware store and with a little thread tape, take care of this yourself. They should be changed every few years anyway.
