I need a rec for someone who can come in and assess the extent of a mold problem we have, tear up part of a floor and wall to remove and repair it once the mold is removed. I don’t think the problem is is a large area but I need it dealt with between Christmas and New Years this month.

The main thing is to stop the leak, and mold inspectors don’t do this.

If it’s not a large area, are you sure you can’t do this yourself? Need a dilute bleach solution. Of course what you really need is to cure the water condition that caused the mold.
The people who are qualified to do this are certified industrial hygienists. I was very happy with Microecologies in Manhattan. They did an inspection but didn’t do the abatement. (We didn’t really need professional abatement.) However, none of these guys are cheap.
Where is the problem, did you fix the leak, and do you have drywall in the area?
