I went to Ikea and they don’t custom cut laminate countertops but said Home Depot did. Well they don’t either! I have an L shaped kitchen counter that is a custom size and was thinking to either cover it with a new laminate sheet or simply buy a new laminate countertop altogether. Any suggestions on a vender?
If replacing the laminate, you need to cut the laminate post installation as your countertop is never going to be straight or true. You lay the laminate slightly larger than the countertop (after having removed the old laminate — your post seems to suggest adding on top), and trim with a router.
If replacing the countertop, an off the rack countertop can be cut to size with a circular saw and trimmed with a jig saw.
