we made an extension we used the existing window door opeings for the doors. We have one new DOOR that was the old small bathroom window. After the frame out it is 2’1.5″ . Th bedroom has an little study nook before entering the bedroom that study area has a regular door. The bedroom it self has an exterior window and door to the backyard, so it has an exterior egress. Is that opening illegal? Do i have to get a change order and open up the exterior wall more? If its not legal whoo is responsible the architect or the engineer?
If it’s going to be inspected it is too small. Not sure what dimension code is but at least 2’6″ x 6′ 8″, maybe 36″ wide.
