Icynene Insulation
Has anyone used this insulation either in their crawl space under the roof or in their walls? I’m looking for the most environmentally friendly materials. Thanks

Check out Brooklyn Insulation for blown cellulose.

We are using blow-in cellulose. I believe that Icynene is pretty toxic. We also looked into this foam-concrete which sounded great—Al Gore used it—but the cellulose was much cheaper.

You might also want to consider Biobased soy based spray foam insulation. Similar stuff, but based from soy as opposed to polyurethane.

seem to remember some really bad reviews on this site regarding it holding moisture. Black mold… . Know two people who changed mid-reno because of problems. Was the flavor of the day at one point, but do research. I say no.
