It’s beautiful! But what I really need is a butler.
I really think people selling coop apts, condos and browndos in Park Slope should be buying these kinds of period salvage pieces and installing them. That market has a big glut right now and units are moving slowly if at all. Anything that makes a place fit the historic brownstone neighborhood and market better and sets it apart really helps. Could help a landlord get higher rent and better tenants too, to offer a historic interior. Most apts, coops and condos are SO boring.

I agree with Mopar. Don’t remove it from your house. It is so beautiful, and well-preserved. You will kick yourself down the line.

Well, since Fred jumped in first….it’s true. You can use it as a bedroom with the woodwork intact. Your daughter will probably treasure it. No use wrecking the house.
This exact piece was destroyed in my house when the formal dining room was converted to a downstairs bedroom. Why are you taking it out? Are you knocking out the wall? Hard to imagine any reno could surpass the value of such a beautiful built-in.
