Stove next to Dishwasher?
I’m considering buying a house with an admittedly small kitchen (which I can deal with) but the only place to install a dishwasher is right next to the stove. Anyone know any logistical problems with doing that? I’m not worried about cutting up the counter or cabinets as we’ll want to change them eventually.

Based on the pictures you showed, the only place to put the dishwasher is next to the range. There should be at least 15″ between the corner sink and the DW in order to access the DW while standing at the sink. The only caviat… The LH side of the dishwasher needs a narrow, 24″ deep panel to support that part of the counter, as the dishwasher cannot. It can also create warranty issues if you don’t.

as it is now, you don’t have enough room to house a dishwasher… by sacrificing another base cabinet you will remove much needed space. Always use the triangle rule when designing a kitchen. Although extremely convenient, it is more important to have a functioning kitchen. So i would say axe the washer.
What is on the opposite wall. can you provide us with some sort of sketch?
I think you might do better—both for now and the future—by creating a true right angle, with the dishwasher on the right-hand side of the dogleg and the sink moved left. I’d probably separate the stove and refrigerator during a future reno, inserting a cabinet between them. Hard to tell from the photos about other options, but I’d make the dishwasher installation with the future in mind, rather than constrained by the current layout.
Your problem isn’t the dishwasher next to the stove, it’s the stove next to the refrigerator. They’re installed right smack flush up against each other. That’s a big amateur no-no in kitchen layout. You need to rearrange the kitchen completely or have a substantial casing built around the fridge if there’s room for it to protect it from the heat of the oven/stove.
Like bobjohn says. No inherent problem being next to the stove. More importantly is running water and drain to sink. The one cabinet in between shouldn’t matter you just have to snake the supply & drain underneath, behind the toe kick
I have small kitchen. I installed 18″ dishwasher right next to the stove. Everything works great and I do not see any issues with this setup.
BTW, But looking at your pictures, the dishwasher is quite far from the sink. It means, you will need to put very long supply and drain pipes. Which complicates setup.
