Hi —
I am going to put my one bedroom apt in brooklyn hieghts on the market. last time I did this I used craigs list and it went fine. But in this market I may benefit from a broker. Can anyone advise me as to what is it I am looking for when I choose one, both broker and firm. I really have no sense of this. Any advice would be of great value.
Thanks
We had a very good experience with Angela Ferrante of Brown Harris Stevens.
My best friend’s uncle is at Corcoran. Super nice guy who has lived in Brooklyn for years so he knows his stuff. I don’t have his contacts but you can look him up on Corcoran’s website, his name is Greg Todd.
Assuming that you’ve already decided to use a Broker. Pick one that is based in Brooklyn, that knows your nabe, that knows the ins and outs of selling a co-op if yours is. One that will co-broke from day one, being a member of REBNY should help but is not necessary. The agent should be approachable, should price it realistically, and hold open houses every weekend.
I know some local brokers. Is it above or below $1mm? Different people specialize in different ranges. If it’s above $3mm, that’s a different type of broker too
