Some (but not all) of the squares of our cement sidewalk have cracked and need to be repaired/replaced. Any recommendations? Also, is there any reason I can’t replace just the cracked squares, rather than the entire sidewalk? Thanks.

  1. hello my name is Dan and I am a licensed contractor if you want you can give me a call if your project is open you can reach me at 718 919-7794 or 646 726-0475 or 718 902-9213 so we can dicuss it further.

  2. Park Slope Brownstone is good. 646 554 4513.
I got a violation from the City & it specifically calls for the mending of one 9-sq-foot section – because there’s a half inch discrepancy to the sidewalk level.

  3. not sure. I think at one time there were separate slabs each about 3 ft or so square. If so – yes could probably just have new ones poured for those squares. I guess I would get estimates for replaceing partial and entire.
I know you can color cement to try to get similar color to
old ones. I had mine colored to look similar in color to slate/bluestone. Also -check reason for cracking—Is it tree roots or something that will also break new ones?
Guy I used several years ago is Shahab at 646-523-7155.
My sidewalk looks tons better than next to be that is disintegrating at just couple years older.
