We had a brand new sidewalk cast. A big dog evidently walked on one patch before it had set & there are nearly half-inch-deep pawprints in one area. Is there a good patching material I can use to fill them in?

  1. Gut some one to grind it flat and chip some edges in it, and use some cement or concrete patch, if this was done recently they may be able to what is know as screeding on it where it looks seemless, but a little maybe discolored

  2. “I really just need a quick & easy solution & will hope it lasts a couple of months”

After that I really don’t care. If someone trips and falls, let them sue!

  3. Don’t want to waste the vodka so I’ll try the other way. Thanks. Everyone on my block got sidewalk violation notices so I really just need a quick & easy solution & will hope it lasts a couple of months.

  4. Believe it or not, dog shit mixed with vodka makes a rock hard putty perfect to fix those holes. . . and it only takes a few weeks for the smell to go away.

Or you could try first using blue cement bonding glue and then filling the holes with “topping cement.” Unfortunately the paw prints may not be deep enough for the cement to adhere 100% and it might not last.
