thanks all for the help and advice. It is an apt building with tile. we had beautiful old tiles but they are ruined. we were thinking of just a border to keep it cost efficient (not the best time for us to be doing a renovation, but gotta try!). thank you again!
Sounds like the OP is speaking of an apt building, not a home, so sounds like she wants tile, not wood (Verrazano is best for wood afaik.) Therefore what PFCI says, figure out what type of flooring you want and go from there. An expert in tile is not likely to be an expert in wood who is not likely to be an expert in carpet. Especially since you want a cheap expert 🙂
I agree, afforable cost? effective? okay, but a cheap expert?
1).you need to get the measurements, measure length and then width of the project area. muiltiply both answers to come up with the square footage.
2). research what type of flooring you would like and what is the best suitable for you area.
3). find a contractor that has the training and exp in that type of specific floor.
It’s best to do your homework, please note: a foyer is the area that has the most traffic in any of the rooms in your home. part of you decession should be based on the notion that your foyer floor needs to withstand salt & water, due to rain and snow. good luck on your project
good does not equal cheap.. try varrazano flooring
