I’m thinking carrera for one that will stay non functioning, but unsure whether to tile or go with a stone slab for the others.
My floors are 4 in pine (original subfloor) in a natural finish, surrounds/mantles are marble.
Anyone have some pics of what they’ve done or links for inspiration?

We recently redid our fireplace and went with rosalia marble slabs and used a dark reclaimed wood as the mantle. Will see if I can find a photo for you.
What were they before? You could do anything you suggest — tile, marble, etc. I guess usually it’s marble with marble, right? I know someone who tiled hers in modern mosaic to go with painted slate. It was cute.
