The DEP ran a camera through my sewer line and said there were breaks in it under the street that were causing a problem in the street. First of all, isn’t the section in the middle of the street their problem? Secondly, has anyone relined their pipe rather than replaced it? I read an old post that said NYC doesn’t not approve relining. Is that still true? Thanks for any advice you can give me. I plan to start getting quotes for the work this week.

  1. Once it taps off the main to feed into your house, it’s your problem. Lucky people are on one side of the street where it’s a short run.
    Don’t know about relining.
